I trained with Sue Read Academy of Body Mechanics and qualified with a Distinction in Advanced Clinical Sports Massage in 2012.
Have worked with people from children to 90 year olds from all walks of life, both sports related and other muscle related issues. I have treated many professional sports people and those who use sport to keep fit and active.
I have been an active and sporty person throughout my life, and exercise has always been essential to my physical and mental wellbeing. Because of this, I understand the impact injuries can have not only on the body, but on confidence and mindset too.
I have spent many years working in sports massage, supporting clients to stay active, manage injuries, and reduce the risk of future problems. When injuries do occur, my aim is to provide effective treatment and practical advice that helps people keep moving wherever possible. I strongly believe that the traditional “you just need to rest” approach is not always the most helpful or appropriate solution.
I work within my professional limits and always have my clients’ best interests at heart, and I am happy to recommend other trusted professionals when I feel a different approach would be more beneficial.

Sports massage is a specialised form of massage therapy designed to help athletes and active individuals prepare for, recover from, and improve performance in physical activity. It focuses on manipulating soft tissues such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments to enhance flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and prevent injuries. Sports massage can be used before exercise to warm up muscles and improve circulation, or after activity to relieve soreness and promote faster recovery. Regular treatment can also help identify and address muscle imbalances, improve range of motion, and reduce stress, allowing the body to function more efficiently and effectively during training and competition.
